Comments Enabled

Yunaleska let me know Comments were still restricts.  This was leftover from when I was pregnant and worried I wouldn't be available to moderate for periods of time.  Comments are now enabled, although they get sent to me for approval before being published.  I know this slows down any potential conversation, but I want to make sure my younger friends are not harrassed or insulted.

That's good policy.

Thanks, Alex.

I figure my younger friends have to deal with enough crap elsewhere in their daily lives.

One of the great things about being an adult is, basically, we really don't have to be around anyone we don't like. If our co-workers are mean, cranky jerkwads, for example, we can go get another job. Teens are pretty much stuck wherever they are until they graduate.

Adults can tell teens they're stupid and get away with it, when, in fact, the teens may very well be much more intelligent. They're simply less experienced.

As you might notice, I don't like people who don't like young people.

Young people are just getting started, they're still in the process of becoming, and there's no telling where they might go and do. The teen voted least likely to succeed may very well end up President of the United States. You just never know.

Adults don't have an excuse. They ought to know better. When they mistreat teens, they're being selfish creeps.
